What is a luxury picnic?
Luxury picnics are a fun, out-of-the-box way to spruce up any occasion. Whether you’re celebrating your special moments or making the most out of a beautiful day, our picnics are fully customizable and tailored to your wants and needs.

What's included in my picnic?
The base of all picnics includes: a handcrafted picnic table, customized welcome sign, place settings with custom name tags for each guest, blankets, cushions, fresh flowers, miscellaneous décor, sparkling or still water, an ice bucket & ice, polaroid camera with 10 film, and a deck of cards.

How long will my picnic last?
Picnics are scheduled for 2 hours.
If you and your guests are interested in having more time, extended picnics are available as an add-on option. A fee of $85 will apply for each additional hour.

What happens if it rains on the day of my picnic?
All cancellations due to weather are subject to the discretion of Pop-up Picnics.
Weather cancellations will have the option to reschedule their picnic date or receive a 100% refund.*
*Picnics with perishable add-ons are subject to a partial refund. Pop-up Picnics will not reimburse payment for perishable add-ons, but are able to pack and deliver orders (small mileage fee may apply) on the originally scheduled picnic date.

What forms of payment does PUP accept?
We accept all major credit & debit cards including Visa, Mastercard, American Express, etc.
Reservations must be paid in full 72 hours in advance of your picnic date or our system will automatically charge the card on file.

When should I book my reservation?
The sooner the better! We will have limited availability this season, so we recommend booking in advance.
Reservations of any size must be booked a minimum 7 days in advance of your desired picnic date.

How many people can I invite to my picnic?
We are currently able to host up to 28 guests.
Please note that parties with over 20+ guests are subject to additional planning & fees.
All reservations can be booked directly through our booking link.

Where can I have my picnic?
Choose from our hand picked sites, scout your own within the Greater Boston area, or even host in your backyard.
Pop-up Picnics is not responsible for any additional fees that may be associated with the “scout your own” location.
Please note: Depending on your desired location, your reservation maybe be subject to a “Mileage Fee” due to the distance from our business address.* Please see Mileage fee FAQ for more details
Additionally, please keep in mind we may not be able to accommodate some locations due to regulations/permitting requirements.

Does PUP Provide Alcohol? Can I bring my own?
Alcohol is prohibited in all Massachusetts parks and beaches. If you decide to bring your own alcoholic beverages, Pop-up Picnics is not responsible for any fines and/or tickets that may be issued to you.

Is food provided during my picnic?
Pop-up Picnics is BYOF (bring your own food) unless you’ve selected one of our food add-on options for an additional fee while booking your picnic.

What happens if I need to cancel my picnic reservation?
If you need to cancel your picnic please contact our team immediately.
Cancellations made 72+ hours in advance of your scheduled picnic will receive 100% refund.
Cancellations made 24-72 hours in advance of your picnic will result in a 50% charge of the total payment due.
Cancellations made less than 24 hours in advance of your picnic and/or no-shows will result in a 100% charge of the total payment due.
Perishable items will not be refunded if your picnic reservation has been cancelled less than 72 hours in advance.

Does Pop-up Picnics offer gift cards?
Yes! We are happy to offer gift cards for purchase. To purchase a gift card, please head to our “Booking” link and scroll to the “Pop-up Picnics - Gift Cards” section of the page. Once purchased, you will receive a code that can be redeemed during your picnic booking.

Gift cards can be redeemed at any time and don’t expire. Gift cards are non-refundable and final sale. Pop-up picnics is not responsible for lost or stolen gift cards/redeemable codes.

Can I host a picnic outside of the Boston area?
Yes! We are more than happy to travel to your desired picnic location outside of the city. For locations that are further than 10 miles from our office address (867 Boylston St. Boston, MA 02116) a travel fee will be applied to your reservation based on the distance in miles.*
Please see mileage fee details below –
• 11 – 15 miles: $45
• 16 – 20 miles: $65
• 21 – 25 miles: $85
• 26 – 30 miles: $105
• 31 – 35 miles: $125
**We are currently unable to host at locations that are 35+ miles from our business address.
